Hyderabadi Biryani Paste: Sunflower Oil, Curd, Onion Sliced-Onion paste, Tomato Paste, Tomato Slices, Ginger-Garlic Paste, Spices, Salt, Green Chilli, Water, Garam Masala,
Whole Spices: Cinnamon Stick, Bay Leaf, Black Pepper, Star Anise.
Fried: Fried Onion.

RECIPE

Step 1: Rice Preparation
Wash Dastoor Basmati Rice in running water thrice, soak for 30 minutes. Boil 1 litre water with salt and whole spices from the pack. Let it simmer for 2-3 minutes. Drain rice. Add to boiling water. Cook till rice is half done (approx. 5-7 minutes). Drain the rice and keep aside.

 

Step 2: Biryani Masala Preparation
While the rice is cooling, mix and cook Dastoor Biryani Masala in a pan with vegetables or chicken/meat. Add stock water (150 ML) and cook for 15 minutes till tender and oil separates.

 

Step 3: Assembly
Layer half the quantity of cooked rice and sprinkle half the quantity of fried onions, cooked vegetables or chicken/meat Repeat the layering. Pour desi ghee/oil over the rice. Cover and cook on dum for 10 minutes on low heat. Serve hot with raita and salad

CHEF’S NOTE

 Add Mint and Coriander Leaves for Aroma.

✔ Add Ghee before dum for more richness.

✔ Leave on dum for 10 minutes.
